New Artist of the Year – 2015 Taste of Country Awards

2014 brought a crop of fresh faces to awards shows and red carpets. Breakout stars like Cole Swindell and Maddie & Tae notched their first No. 1 hits, and you'll find both on the 2015 Taste of Country Awards New Artist of the Year ballot.

To qualify, an artist must still be promoting songs from his or her debut album or have yet to release that album. Sam Hunt and Chase Rice both qualify and had big years, as did duo Dan + Shay and 'God Made Girls' singer RaeLynn. Brett Eldredge rounds out the category of seven artists, on the strength of his second No. 1 hit and the CMA New Artist of the Year award.
