Niall Horan is ready to take the stage with Maren Morris at the 2017 CMA Awards, and he's humbled by the invitation. The two will sing their new song off Horan's Flicker album, "Seeing Blind."

"It's unbelievable performing at the country music awards, which I'm really excited about, our first performance of the song," the One Direction singer tells Music Choice. "So it's an exciting time for that song." Horan says he admires the fact that the CMA Awards focus on music and songwriting.

"They've welcomed me with open arms," he says about getting the invitation to sing on the country awards show.

"But it's one of those nights where it's about the writing, the music, which is rare at some of these shows these days, so it's nice to be able to be involved in something that like and performing in front of some of the greatest country acts of all time is going to be nerve-wracking for me," he continues, noting that he and Pink are currently the only two non-country acts slated to take the stage. "It should be fun, I'm really looking forward to it."

This marks just one of many times Horan and Morris will collaborate. Horan is taking her out on the road with him for his 2018 Flicker Tour, where she'll open for him on all the U.S. stops.

The CMA Awards will feature a variety of other collaborative performances, including Brad Paisley and Kane Brown teaming up for Paisley's new single "Heaven South," Kelsea Ballerini with Reba McEntire uniting for a duet on Ballerini's current single, "Legends," and Dierks Bentley and Rascal FlattsTim McGraw and Faith Hill will also take the stage.
