Nicole Johnson sang the twangy version of Kelly Clarkson's 'Mr. Know It All' on tonight's (Oct. 1) blind audition episode of 'The Voice.' She could have delivered the standard, pop version of the song, but since she is a country girl, that's the rendition she turned in, to the delight of Blake Shelton. It was also her usage of the word "thang" that won the country coach's heart.

Johnson is pursuing her music career hard, as she currently lives in Nashville, with her entire family relocating from Louisiana to support her career goals and mission. Smart move for the Johnsons, since the girl can sing!

Looking fresh and sweet in a lemon yellow dress paired with brown cowboy boots and a thick brown belt, Johnson sang over the twangy, finger-picked guitars. Her voice was just so pretty, regardless of genre.

Cee Lo Green picked her since she "sounded like one of the best" singers, whereas Shelton chose her since she is "a great singer." It was also mentioned -loudly- that Shelton is friends with Clarkson.

Shelton, when attempting to win Johnson over to his team, said he wasn't sure if she was going to sing the pop or the country version of the song, but then she sang "thang" and it was all over. Shelton declared, "You had me at 'thang.' I am 200 percent a believer in you."

Well, that's double the normal percentage of belief, and it was enough to convince Johnson to select him as her coach.

"I am a country girl, and I am going to have to go with Blake," Johnson said, gently rejecting Cee Lo.
