Old Dominion took out Jake Owen with one punch over the weekend, besting the long-haired singer's latest with their hot single 'Shut Me Up' by an overwhelming 80 percent. That makes three straight wins for the newcomers, who are hoping to slide into the Taste of Country Hall of Fame this week. But they've got to get past American Young's 'Wasn't Gonna Drink Tonight' first.

American Young's single is about heading out for a night of fun on the town ... and running into someone from your past you really didn't want to see. Cue drinks. 'Shut Me Up,' on the other hand, is an upbeat love tune about someone you don't want to get out of your mind, because you're hooked on their love. So, which tune suits you more? Heartache or heart-on-the-mend?

Listen to clips of both Old Dominion and American Young's songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends on Wednesday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will face a new challenger on Wednesday.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
