What a week for the Pistol Annies. They released their sophomore album 'Annie Up' and celebrated by performing 'Hush Hush' on the 'Today' show. They also got the good news that their debut, the 2011-released 'Hell on Heels,' was certified Gold, which means it moved 500,000 copies!

Congrats to the trio for that feat. It's a big deal for an album to go Gold in this day and age, with continually sagging record sales, so that's quite an accomplishment that should not be overlooked and underappreciated.

Lone Star Annie aka Miranda Lambert just saw her solo single 'Mama's Broken Heart' land at No. 1 on the radio charts, making it her fifth numero uno, so she is having an especially good May so far. She tweeted a picture of herself and bandmates Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley posing with their plaque, which commemorates their accolade!

The ladies look proud as peacocks, and well, they should be.

Lambert posted: "Yes.. That's right folks! Pistol Annies officially have a GOLD album! What a great week!Yes.. That's right folks! Pistol Annies officially have a GOLD album! What a great week!"

Here's to hoping that 'Annie Up' achieves a similar sales feat when all is said and done.
