We don't know too much about what to expect from Miranda Lambert's new girl group Pistol Annies just yet -- other than great music, of course. The trio made their public debut during the ‘ACM Girls Night Out: Superstar Women of Country’ event with an on-stage performance of 'Hell on Heels,' and now, the ladies are offering us a sample of what else they've been cooking up as of late.

In this video, the soon-to-be Mrs. Blake Shelton belts out a sweet but raw country track that's clearly in the works as she sits comfortably in her tour bus. Alongside her, her Annie-mates Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe tap their toes and sing back-up, while an unidentified celloist and guitar player offer some musical accompaniment.

It's hard to make a full lyrical analysis based on this clip, but from what we can hear, it's a song about boys from the south. "Maybe he's somewhere in New Orleans, living it up in the Big Easy right now / There's just something about a boy from the south," the Annies sing in perfect harmony. The girls go on to mention romantic scenes with different boys they've encountered in the past, and come together on a honey-like chorus.

We're going to wager that this new song is probably called something like 'Boys from the South,' and we'll also bet that should it ever see the light of day as a single, it'll be a hit.

Lambert and Shelton will tie the knot in a Texas ceremony this Saturday, May 14, but no word on whether the big day will also mean an appearance of the full trio that is Pistol Annies.
