Rachel Bradshaw, Terry Bradshaw’s Daughter, Signs a Record Deal
Her father may be a football legend, but recording artist Rachel Bradshaw did inherit musical genes from Terry Bradshaw. The younger Bradshaw, who came to Nashville from her native Texas to study music at Belmont, has signed a record deal with Bigger Picture Group. In an interview with the Associated Press, Rachel explained that this has always been her goal ever since she came to Belmont as a freshman.
"My parents wanted me to be in college but I came here to find out everything about music and about songwriting, who do I talk to, how do I talk to them?" she said. "I spent a few years just meeting people and getting to know everybody I possibly could and I made friends and we'd start to write songs together."
Even before the 24-year-old put pen to paper with this new deal, Bradshaw put in her time in the industry, co-writing the Jerrod Niemann hit 'What Do You Want' and singing background vocals on the song while also playing the female role in the music video. Currently Bradshaw is also working on a debut project of her own.
The singer and family celebrated the new deal with a dinner and cocktail reception at Nashville's swanky Hutton Hotel Wednesday, April 4. Speaking of the newest talent added to the Bigger Picture Group family, Bigger Picture Chairman and Chief Creative Officer Keith Stegall said, "I’m proud to announce that Rachel will be joining the Bigger Picture Group artist family. She is an amazing talent, amazing singer, amazing songwriter and we are thrilled to be her new home" (quote via the CMIL). And Rachel seems pretty pumped about the deal as well.
“Ever since I was young, I knew that music was different for me -- I felt like it was my calling," she said. "I didn’t just like listening to the radio -- it was all I wanted to do.” You can check Bradshaw out on Facebook.
