Country singer Randy Houser popped the question to girlfriend Jessa Lee Yantz recently, and it appears the happy couple are hoping to be married as soon as this fall in the Dominican Republic. Judging from the activity on Yantz's Twitter page, the engagement happened on or before July 22, though the news is just now hitting the public ear.

"I finally found the person that I can't be without," 34-year-old Houser tells PEOPLE Magazine. "Jessa makes me a better person every day, and I look forward to spending the rest of my life with her." Yantz is also a singer-songwriter, who the most dedicated 'American Idol' fans may remember from way back in the second season when she made the Hollywood round. The 29-year-old blonde cutie goes by the stage name 'Jessa Lee.'

Houser is best known for his hit songs, 'Boots On' and 'Anything Goes.' He's released two albums, including 2010's 'They Call Me Cadillac,' and is working on new music for a third project. Ironically, the hitmaker joked that he didn't think his engagement would be a very big deal outside of his family and friend circles. "I had no idea anyone would care that I'm engaged," he said. "But I want to thank everyone for their outreach and support regarding the news of our engagement."

The couple has a little time to enjoy their engagement before Houser returns to the road in August.
