Randy Houser's debut single only reached the Top 20 of the Billboard country charts, but introduced the singer as one of the best pure country vocalists in the format. He made a fan of David Letterman, who heard the song and personally made sure Houser appeared to sing it on the show.

Once he arrived at 'The Late Show' studios, Paul Shaffer told Houser that the TV host really liked the second verse and encouraged him to sing it twice. Houser obliged, and soon after began to perform it that way during his live shows. The video acts out the drama of the song, but as emotional as the singer's performance is, it's just as good with your eyes closed.
