More details are now available regarding Randy Travis' arrest in North Texas on Tuesday night. As previously reported, the singer was nabbed for suspicion of DWI, as well as retaliation and obstruction, after he allegedly crashed his car and "verbally threatened" a police officer. Reports are now surfacing that Travis was naked at the time of his arrest, which came just before midnight.

The Associated Press originally stated that the Grayson County Sheriff's Office had Travis jailed in Sherman, Texas -- 60 miles north of Dallas -- without bond. The 53-year-old singer has since been released on a $21,500 bond and is currently awaiting a court appearance. Sgt. Rickey Wheeler tells the AP that Travis was arrested near his hometown of Tioga, Texas.

"Travis had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath and several signs of intoxication," Wheeler said. "While Travis was being transported, Travis made threats to shoot and kill the troopers working the case."

Representatives for Randy Travis have declined comment on the incident. Travis was driving a Pontiac Trans Am when it struck barricades in a construction zone. He refused a sobriety test, so a blood test was administered.

In February, the singer issued a statement after his early 2012 arrest for public intoxication. At the time, he said he was "committed to being responsible and accountable" in the future.
