Randy Travis -- who recently suffered a stroke after a complication due to a complication of congestive heart failure -- underwent surgery on Wednesday (July 10), and fans have been very concerned about his progress since. Finally, there has been an update -- and, most importantly, it's good news.

Although Travis has been under heavy sedation since he came out of surgery, the 54-year-old is resting comfortably, but is still in critical condition. His family continues to ask for prayers and support, and fans can continue to do their part to encourage Travis by sending cards and well-wishes.

Before his health took a turn for the worse, Travis was keeping busy, most recently playing an especially touching tribute to the late George Jones, who he truly admired.

Here's to a strong recovery for the country star. Hopefully each day, he'll get a little stronger until he's strolling across the stage, delighting everyone with his pure and memorable voice.
