Several country legends will travel to Texas for Stars Behind the Stars, a charity concert to benefit the fallen police officers in Dallas, Texas.

Five officers were killed and two others wounded after a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest in Dallas on July 7. The killings marked the deadliest assault on law enforcement since Sept. 11, 2001. The Stars Behind the Stars event will serve as a way to raise money for the families of the officers whose lives were lost earlier this month.

Randy Travis is scheduled to make a special appearance at the Stars Behind the Stars showcase. Meanwhile, Tanya Tucker, the Oak Ridge Boys, Mark Wills, Collin Raye, Janie Fricke, T.G. Sheppard, Kelly Lang, the Bellamy Brothers, T. Graham Brown, Johnny Lee, Gene Watson, John Conlee, Ronnie McDowell, Mickey Gilley and Moe Bandy will perform at the event. Each artist will be backed by the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame Band, which includes members Mitchell Smithey, Wes Taylor, Charlie Shearer, Scott Moody, Curtis Randall, John Martinez, Angie McWhirter, Kyle Harris and Shawnda Rains. T.G. Sheppard will serve as host for the evening.

All of the proceeds raised from the concert event will be donated to the Dallas Police Association’s Assist the Officer Foundation. The Assist the Officer Foundation provides immediate financial assistance to an officer’s family in the event of the death of an active officer.

Tickets are currently on sale at the Billy Bob's website.
