Rascal Flatts dropped their ninth studio album this week, releasing 'Changed' on Tuesday, April 3. Naturally, they've spent the past couple of days making television appearances to promote the new project. After performing their heavy ballad 'Changed' on 'Dancing With the Stars' early in the week, they hit 'The Ellen Show' on Thursday (April 5) to bring forth a performance of a different cut from the record: the uptempo, feel-good number 'Banjo.'

Backed by a full band, the country trio brought their twangy and energetic sound to the stage, getting the audience amped up. When the song came to a powerful close, each member of the trio got a kiss on the cheek from Ellen, and each guest in the studio audience got a copy of the new record. In a recent statement about 'Changed,' Jay DeMarcus offered some insight into the selection process of the title.

“We’ve gone through a year and a half of monumental changes in the careers and the lives of Rascal Flatts," he says. “And for us it was a no-brainer when we heard the song and we sat down and we thought about where we are in life right now. It was the perfect message to say to the fans that we’ve indeed been changed in a big way.”

'Banjo' has climbed to No. 6 -- and is rising -- on Billboard's country charts.
