Rascal Flatts Reveal Flatts Fest Details: Karaoke, Wedding Chapel and More!

Who needs a full-fledged (and expensive) vacation to Europe, or even Disney World, when you can enjoy a fun and activity-filled day trip with Rascal Flatts at their brand new Flatts Fest?

The tour, which launches on June 18 and runs through September 18, will keep fans (and their families) fully occupied for the entire day leading up to the band's performance. The interactive pre-show will feature a karaoke challenge, a wedding chapel (!), a scavenger hunt and more. The carnival atmosphere will be in effect, from the food, to the games, to the prizes.

In addition to the Flatts, Sara Evans, Easton Corbin and Justin Moore will provide the on-stage entertainment amidst all of the fun and games.

But the Flatts Fest version of a karaoke challenge isn't just another boring old karaoke event where fans make fools of themselves or show off their inability to carry a tune. Participants will actually compete for the chance to open for Rascal Flatts at one of their 2012 tour stops, the market of which will be determined based on winner's hometown. Local radio personnel and label execs will be on site at each karaoke challenge to listen to the aspiring singers, and ultimately decide who is good enough to possibly open for the famous Flatts.

Finalists will perform during the last hour of the pre-show festival, and the winner will go backstage and meet the band, as well as see their winning performance on the jumbo-tron during the show. The video will then be entered in the grand prize contest for fans to vote on after the end of the tour in September. As if that weren't enough, the grand prize winner gets a trip to the Smoky Mountains to record their own CD! Interested parties and big-dreaming singers can pre-qualify by listening to their local radio station for details, or just show the heck up and belt it out on the day of the show.

Naturally, romance will be in the air at Flatts Fest, and radio listeners can pre-qualify for the chance to renew their vows, propose to their loved one, or have a ceremony (real or fake, your choice!) at the 'Why Wait' Chapel. Local radio stations will draw the winner's name the week before the show. Post-ceremony, the newlyweds (or re-newlyweds) will go backstage to meet the band. Winners at each stop will be entered to win a honeymoon trip to Las Vegas, and can also win memorabilia from the 'Why Wait' video, among other things.

Attendees can participate in the Flatts Fest Scavenger Hunt using the free festival wi-fi hot spot and their cell phone. Simply check in here to receive the checklist, find the scavenger hunt signs within the venue and scan the QR code to receive a surprise. Every fan on site who plays the game is also automatically entered for a chance to spin the Flatts Fest Prize Wheel just before the start of the show, and those who win have the chance at a birthday phone call from the band!
