After more than 90 shows in Europe and South America performing as the lead singer of Journey, Filipino rocker Arnel Pineda recently told ABS-CBN morning show Kris TV that the American rock band is about to take a step toward a country collaboration. According to LazyRocker.com, Pineda said that Journey have plans in 2012 to perform with Rascal Flatts for 'CMT Crossroads.'

"The next tour will happen next year," says Pineda, who came on as Journey's lead singer in 2007. "We will have a two-show crossroad thing with Rascal Flatts. It will happen on the third week of February in Nashville. They will sing a couple of Journey songs, then we will sing their songs."

As for Rascal Flatts' upcoming year, they're hitting the road in January and touring all over the United States and even into Canada through February. Their hit single 'Easy,' which features Natasha Bedingfield, was just certified gold after having more than 500,000 digital downloads.

While the country trio are making their way across the U.S., their 'CMT Crossroads' collaborators Journey will be hitting South America with Styx, Loverboy, Foreigner and Heart, according to Pineda, who said they will also be touring the with Loverboy in the U.S. this year.
