'The Church on Cumberland Road' is a signature song for Rascal Flatts, so it was an easy choice for their 'Off the Record' cover. The three men explain why this Shenandoah track is so special to them before delivering a brilliant live performance of a highlight from their live shows.

Before Jay DeMarcus, Gary LeVox and Joe Don Rooney were famous, the two cousins shared the stage regularly. Rooney filled in on guitar one night, and they opened their set with 'The Church on Cumberland Road.'

"When we hit that first chorus," DeMarcus tells Taste of Country, "we stopped and looked at each other like --"

"'Lord is that you?'" LeVox says with his eyes to the sky. It's not unfair to say Rascal Flatts were baptized at 'The Church on Cumberland Road.' Watch this live performance, and then check out their other 'Off the Record' videos. The trio cut four songs at the Southern Ground studios in Nashville, including three from their new 'Rewind' album.
