Rascal Flatts have been working on the opening of their restaurant chain for several years, and in 2017 a new location is set to launch in Los Angeles.

Eater Los Angeles recently visited the establishment, which is still under construction at the Hollywood and Highland complex in L.A. According to the website, the location is a "mega-touristy complex that holds everything from the Academy Awards to those photogenic street performers."

According to signs at the space, the restaurant and bar will boast “beer & cocktails, down home eats, and good music.” It's expected to open in late 2017.

Rascal Flatts first revealed the idea of a restaurant chain in 2012. The first location of the Rascal Flatts-themed restaurant was set to open in 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio, with additional cities to follow. Early plans included discussions of future restaurants to be located in Washington, D.C., Columbus, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, N.C., Minneapolis and Long Island, with Charlotte, Tampa, Boston and Madison, Wisc., also slated. There is no word on when additional locations are set to open.

Rascal Flatts are currently busy readying the release of their tenth studio album Back to Us, due out May 19. The band revealed the news on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on March 3.

“There was a nostalgic feeling between the three of us while in the studio for this record, a feeling that was more reminiscent of our first albums,” Jay DeMarcus said on the show. “The journey we’ve all been on together is unreal, and I can honestly say I’m even more excited about what is ahead for us. Back to Us is not only a title of a song on the album, but a feeling that has been building around this new music. It just fits in so many ways.”
