In one of the most unusual pairings in recent memory, Rascal Flatts will open for the Rolling Stones at an upcoming gig in Indianapolis.

The Stones are currently embarked on their Zip Code tour, which will visit stadiums in Orlando, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Raleigh, Detroit and Buffalo before wrapping in Quebec on July 15 at Le Festival D’Ete de Quebec. The Flatts will open the show at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 4.

Consisting of Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney, Rascal Flatts have scored 15 No. 1 songs, sold over 22.8 million albums and more than 29 million digital downloads worldwide to become the best-selling country vocal group of the past decade. Their sunny harmonies and pop-country arrangements will provide a sharp musical contrast to the blues-based, gritty rock and roll of the Stones.

"What an incredible honor for us to share the stage with real life rock and roll icons, the Rolling Stones!" DeMarcus says in a press release. "There are a lot of bucket list moments that you dream up as a performing musician, and this is a pretty wild one to actually have come true. You in fact can get some satisfaction!”

Of course, the Stones are no strangers to country music. In fact, they've shared the stage in the past with Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley, who recently lauded their country credentials. “I like to say they’re the No. 1 rock band in the world, and they’re in the Top 5 in country bands,” he says.

Paisley will also open for the Stones on their current tour, on June 17 at LP Field in Nashville.
