Ray Price's battle with pancreatic cancer has sent the singer back into the hospital once again. After being released to return home near the end of November, the 87-year-old reportedly checked back in to the East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas last Monday (Dec. 2).

An email from Hall of Fame deejay Bill Mack states that Price is stable after experiencing complications from his cancer. "I speak with Ray by phone quite often," Mack confirms, "and he always retains that Price spirit, even though I'm aware of the fact that he's going through the toughest health issue of his life."

Mack says he spoke with Ray's wife, Janie, for an hour on Sunday night.

"Lots of prayers by thousands of his devoted friends, fans and peers have obviously helped him tremendously," Mack adds. "During our last conversation, he said, 'Bill, those fine folks seem to love me a lot.'"

Price has been in and out of the hospital all year, most recently released a short time before Thanksgiving (according to his wife). The iconic singer had successfully battled an infection "that just about took his life." Another post on his official Facebook page concludes that as of Dec. 1, he was growing stronger. The octogenarian's official social media page has been a reliable source for his health updates since he first announced his pancreatic cancer in November 2012.

In February 2013, Price shared that his cancer was in remission. He's battled dehydration and kidney stones in the months since. He was hospitalized for sepsis in October.

Price's hits include 'For the Good Times' and 'Release Me.' He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1996.
