While Reba McEntire has clearly been having fun galavanting about Italy over the last week with Vegas showmate Ronnie Dunn and BFF Melissa Peterman, judging by her social media posts, the artist was actually visiting the the country to receive a unique honor.

McEntire was given the Andrea Bocelli Foundation Humanitarian award during the 20th annual Celebrity Fight Night event for her charitable work.

While the event began as a one-time-only comedy and boxing event for celebrities, after the founder Jimmy Walker invited Muhammad Ali himself to join in its third year, it became a legendary annual charity fundraiser to raise awareness and funds for Parkinsons Disease, specifically for the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center.

Fight Night now features music as well, including Andrea Bocelli, who asked to host one of the events in Italy this year for the second time, at which the "Going Out Like That" singer received her award. Previous winners of the honor include George Clooney and Lionel Richie. Other country guests included Dunn and the Band Perry. The event raised more than $12.5 million dollars.

The Andrew Bocelli Foundation seeks to aid those living in poverty or overcoming barriers caused by disability or illness.

McEntire was recently added to the Rock the Room tour alongside Kelly Clarkson and Martina McBride. It kicks off Oct. 21 in Nashville and will raise money for Musicians on Call. The organization brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities nationwide.

“I’ve been very fortunate throughout my career to witness first-hand the healing power of music,” McEntire says. “I am so honored to support Musicians on Call and most especially to recognize my good friend Shane Tarleton for all that he has done and continues to do to improve the lives of patients and families.”
