It finished with a flurry of votes, but one song held on to be crowned the Best Song of Summer 2015. Congratulations to Reba McEntire! Her first single from the Love Somebody album topped 15 other songs to win the crown. "Going Out Like That" is No. 1 in the eyes of Taste of Country readers.

Fan vote was what decided each of the four rounds of this bracket style contest. "Going Out Like That" topped LoCash's "I Love This Life" in the finals, taking just over 53 percent of the vote. It was by far the most voted-on matchup of the month-long contest. Tens of thousands of fans weighed in — some more than once!

McEntire's path to the Best Song of Summer also included wins over Luke Bryan, Chris Janson and Zac Brown Band. Her win over "Homegrown" was the closest of the competition. Thousands of votes were cast there as well, and "Going Out Like That" took just over 51 percent of them to move on.

The famous redhead has moved on to a new single from Love Somebody, her first album of original material in five years, dropping "Until They Don't Love You" as the followup. It's another uptempo country-rocker, but this one has a painful twist.
