It’s Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Because of You Video’
Kelly Clarkson joined Reba McEntire for the veteran country singer's 'Reba Duets' album. But this wasn't the song they originally chose to sing together. Only after urging from McEntire's husband Narvel Blackstock did the two re-enter the studio to cut Clarkson's hit from 2005. It began not only Clarkson's flirtation with country music, but her professional relationship with Blackstock.
The country video for 'Because of You' focused more on the abuse than Clarkson's pop video did. Both are sad productions, and the one made famous on CMT and other video music channels doesn't end happily. Both singers play 1930s flappers in a clip that was nominated for many awards, but won very few.
