Reba McEntire turned to Instagram on Saturday (March 17) to mark what would have been her parents' 68th wedding anniversary.

The country icon shared two pictures of her mom and dad, Jacqueline and Clark McEntire. The first one depicts the couple posing by a cake at what was presumably one of their earlier anniversaries.

The second shot shows the happy couple dancing up a storm and sharing a sweet kiss.

"Mama and Daddy would have been married 68 years today. Love you both," the singer writes, adding the hashtags #clark&jacmcentire and #agreatteam.

Clark McEntire died on Oct. 23, 2014, at the age of 86. He had suffered a stroke three years previously. In a message remembering her father, McEntire said, "He was a born and bred cowboy through and through. He had been sick for 5 years. It makes total sense to me, he always told us kids never to run your horse to the barn. He was just taking his time to go on home."

Two years later, McEntire's mother received an honorary bachelor's degree in Public Education and Community Service from Southeastern Oklahoma State University at the age of 89. In 2017 she and Reba's sisters, Susie and Alice, sang with the superstar on her recording of "I'll Fly Away." She included the track on her Grammy Award-winning gospel album, Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope.

It's been several days of reflecting on the past for McEntire. On Friday (March 16) she posted a throwback picture to commemorate the 27th anniversary of the plane crash that killed seven of her band members and other members of her entourage in 1991.
