Remember the Song Reba McEntire Recorded for Her Father? [Listen]

Subscribe to Taste of Country on

Long before Reba McEntire‘s career really began to take off, the singer recorded a song that told her father Clark’s story. Listen to ‘Daddy’ here, and hear the singer’s emotional tribute to the man who shaped her into the person she is today.

Clark McEntire died on Oct. 23 after a long illness. He was a loving husband, father to three daughters and son Pake, and a champion steer roper. In fact, he was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 1979. McEntire covers all of these details in her touching tribute from the ‘Out of a Dream’ album, released that same year.
