Reba McEntire is releasing her third single off of her thirty-fourth album, 'All the Women I Am,' today. The single, 'When Love Gets a Hold of You,' was written by acclaimed songwriters Jessi Alexander, Gary Nicholson and Jon Randall, and it's about the mentality one has when they first realize they have fallen in love.

The song kicks off with a Western-inspired guitar riff that sounds like it could in the opening scenes of a John Wayne film. The up-tempo, airy, lighthearted melody highlights Reba's country twang and strong vocals as she sings the catchy lyrics:

"You'll wake up in the middle of the night / I'll be the only thing on your mind / Won't be able to shake it loose / When love gets a hold of you / Before you have your first cup of coffee / You're gonna pick up the phone and call me / Won't believe what you say and do / When love gets a hold of you."

Reba continues to empathize the whirl of emotions that come hand-in-hand when love hits you like a ton of bricks. "'Cause it's gonna be written all over your face / All your friends gonna tell you how much you've changed / Feeling things that you can't deny / Going crazy and you don't know why," she sings during the closing verse.

The giddy song then finishes with Reba belting out a series of long and powerful notes over a group of female backing vocals. Although Reba herself didn't write the song, she definitely knows a thing or two about being madly in love, considering she's been married to her husband, Narvel Blackstock, for more than 20 years now.

"'When Love Gets a Hold Of You' cost me one night's sleep because I woke up in the middle of the night and 'When Love Gets a Hold of You' was playing in my mind, and I was thinking, 'Oh my gosh! Is that a song on the radio, or is that a song I've been hearing out of all the demos, and have I put it on hold?'" Reba says. "I just knew that was a very strong song that I wanted to sing. I hope all the fans like it as much as I did. It was worth that one night of sleep that I missed! Great song."

Reba will be performing at the ACM Awards on April 3, in addition to hosting the gig with fellow country singer Blake Shelton.
