Robert Plant, whose music has revealed his love for country songcraft as far back as 1970's 'Led Zeppelin III' album, will once again bring noted Nashville guitarist Buddy Miller out on tour with him this winter.

Buddy will join Plant's group, dubbed the 'Band of Joy,' in support of the rock legend's 2010 album of the same name. Miller played on and co-produced the critically acclaimed album, which features Plant covering folk and roots standards from Los Lobos, Low and Richard Thompson in a loose, country-rock style.

Miller previously played with Plant and bluegrass-country star Alison Krauss on the tour for their immensely popular 'Raising Sand' album. As beloved as that platinum-selling, 'Album of the Year' Grammy-winning album was, 'Band of Joy' tops it with a fuller, livelier sound and a more diverse batch of songs.

"I approached Buddy because he had been lighting every room that I played in when I was with Alison," Plant says of his choice to hire the producer and guitarist. "He's like a curator of a rock and roll museum packed away in three or four guitar cases."

Plant and Miller are joined by a different top-notch female Americana singer, Patty Griffin, on the 'Band of Joy' album and tour.  You can find Robert Plant's 2011 tour dates below, and also check out the video for the record's first single, 'Angel Dance.'
