Country Artists We’ve Lost in 2011: Ryan ‘Troop’ Jones

Jones was a trained classical violinist who chose to transition to fiddle as a teenager. He hooked up with the LoCash Cowboys in 2005 and had a solo that was one of the highlights of any of the band's live shows. Troop also played mandolin and acoustic guitar before he was forced to come off the road in July after being admitted to the hospital with a life-threatening ulcer, which lead to pneumonia, which led to his sad death in October 2011.
