Sara Evans vs. Brett Eldredge – The Showdown

Sara Evans put a country butt-whoopin' on her Showdown competition earlier this week. 'Slow Me Down' took over 80 percent of the vote against 'We Are Tonight' by Billy Currington. Her fans are now tasked with staring down newcomer Brett Eldredge and his Top 40 song 'Beat of the Music.' 

It's another uptempo love song for Eldredge. The 'Don't Ya' hitmaker's soulful voice is easy to fall for, but he'll need all his fans to stand up and vote over the holiday to knock off the champion. Evans' faithful have proven they'll work for her win, so this promises to be a battle that goes down to the wire.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
