Sara Evans scored another impressive victory in a Taste of Country Showdown against Jamie Lynn Spears earlier this week. That makes three in a row for her new single 'Slow Me Down.' Two more wins and the ballad enters the Showdown Hall of Fame.

Today's competition is newcomer Chase Rice. He's the man behind 'Cruise' by Florida Georgia Line, but his own single 'Ready Set Roll' is climbing the country charts quickly. Rice is an unsigned artist, making his ascent a truly remarkable feat. Fans have been behind him from the beginning, and he'll need them to vote often if his song is to stand a chance against Evans.

Listen to clips of both Evans and Rice's songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends on Friday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will face a new challenger on Friday.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
