Sara Evans gave us a glimpse into what it takes to get glammed up for an awards show on Sunday night (May 1) when she took over Taste of Country's Instagram account in preparation for the 2016 American Country Countdown Awards.

Evans let us in on the whole process, from what jewelry she was wearing, to the in-process makeup shots and last-minute primping. She even shared a video from the red carpet, showing us the organized chaos of what it’s really like to hear your name repeated from every direction and be photographed by 50 people at once. Check out some of her photos from the night below!

The ACCAs celebrated its second event this year, having held its first in 2014 and postponed 2015. Evans presented an award at the ceremony, where big winners of the night included Chris Stapleton for Album of the Year with his runaway hit Traveller, Kelsea Ballerini for Breakthrough Female Artist and Luke Bryan for Artist of the Year. The awards are given based on album sales and radio airplay. Carrie Underwood gave a breathtaking performance of her song "Church Bells" and took home the award for Female Artist of the Year, which she dedicated to a 10-year-old fan who was recently killed by a drunk driver.

The ACCAs are derived from the American Country Countdown radio show, which began in the '70s and is still on today. It’s now hosted by Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn and therefore has adopted the official moniker American Country Countdown With Kix Brooks.
