Today, August 6, 30 U.S. troops including 22 Navy SEALs were killed in a helicopter crash over Afghanistan. Shockingly, this marks the deadliest event since the war started in 2001. While many are just hearing the news, a handful of country music stars have already taken to Twitter to tweet their condolences and share their sadness with followers. Billy Ray Cyrus expressed sincere shock over the incident, while 'Tomorrow' singer Chris Young showed a solemn side. Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert/Pistol Annies must have been at a loss for words, because they simply re-tweeted Martina McBride's prayers for the families of the American lives lost today.

Update: Only 30 U.S. troops were actually killed in the crash as opposed to the original report of 31 casualties.
