Scotty McCreery Shares Favorite Halloween Memory

It's no secret that Scotty McCreery is an Elvis Presley fan. So when asked what his favorite Halloween costume was, it is not a surprise that at one point in time the singer dressed up as the King.

"My favorite costume would have to be my Elvis Presley costume," he admits. "I think I was about 10 years old when that was happening."

In a recent interview with Fox News Magazine, the "Southern Belle" singer shares his favorite Presley songs, including "Blue Suede Shoes," "Suspicious Minds" and "Burning Love." He also explains the impact Presley has had on his life.

"Elvis Presley was my guy growing up, and still is," McCreery says. "My grandma gave me a book when I was younger about Elvis, and how to be like Elvis, and it's all I read about. All I listened to back then was Elvis."

When he wasn't trying to be Elvis for Halloween, it turns out McCreery had fun scaring his friends during the holiday.

"My favorite Halloween memory would have to be me in my gorilla costume, running down the street chasing some little girl I was friends with," he recalls. "I knew her, but I was scaring her half to death."
