American Idol alum and country throwback star Scotty McCreery will be taking the stage as part of the Fox and Friends All American Summer Concert Series this Friday (July 31), debuting his new track “Southern Belle” for the first time on television.

The show begins at 8AM EST, and the Platinum-selling artist will debut the new single at approximately 8:50. The series will also stream live online, featuring additional content not included in the TV broadcast.

“Southern Belle” is the first single from McCreery’s upcoming third studio record. It was originally set to be released in June, but was pushed back to September. Taste of Country was able to squeeze in a listen before the delay, though, and the song’s upbeat sound is a breath of fresh air for the artist.

McCreery recently graced the historic stage at the Grand Ole Opry, performing a tribute to the great George Jones with his somber tune “The Grand Tour.” Though the 21-year-old has had success with his own singles and performs them live, his classic country style lends itself perfectly to a few old school covers, which he has been including in his sets this summer. Opening up for Rascal Flatts as part of the band’s Riot tour, he has treated audiences to performances of Alabama’s “Mountain Music,” Garth Brooks’ “Papa Loved Mama,” and Merle Haggard’s “Mama Tried” in his sets.

No release date has been set for McCreery's upcoming album.
