Been a busy 2015 so far. Time for a little R&R.

Scotty McCreery’s year has included work on new music, and it will include a cross-country tour with Rascal Flatts. The singer was able to find some downtime recently to soak in a little sunshine on the beach, and he's looking pretty good doing it.

“Been a busy 2015 so far. Time for a little R&R,” McCreery says, making the “hang loose” sign with his right hand.

It’s safe to guess that the "See You Tonight" singer is beaching along North Carolina’s Outer Banks. The endless horizon indicates it’s an ocean view, and the Tar Heel State-bred singer favors the coast. He even shot the video for "Feelin’ It" in Nags Head, N.C. and surrounding areas.

Rascal Flatts' Riot tour begins on May 29 in St. Louis and includes more than two dozen stops through September. McCreery also has numerous solo stops planned for spring and summer. As for new music, he shares that the next album will reflect the music he grew up listening to. “I want to have some depth and portray a different side,” he told Rolling Stone in January.

“Honestly, we’re starting at ground zero.”

Thankfully, there’s a nice view there.
