Jennifer Lopez has been non-committal about returning to the judge's table for a second season of 'American Idol.' PopEater reports that the producers are engaging in a little preemptive strike and looking for a possible replacement for her, should she decide to move on from the show that made Scotty McCreery a star. One name that is being bandied about to fill her sky-high Louboutins is none other than country's Shania Twain.

While 'Idol' was credited with resurrecting Lopez's somewhat sagging music career, Twain is on her way back up the music business ladder after a lengthy hiatus. Twain is  just returning to performing and to the public eye via her recent reality show 'Why Not? With Shania Twain' and her book 'From This Moment On.'  It could be quite the perfect fit to replace Lopez with Twain, if the stars align.

A gig as an 'Idol' could further boost the beloved country star's profile into the stratosphere. While this is all speculative, we think Twain would be a great mentor on the show, especially since country music made such strides during the 10th season, with McCreery and fellow country hopeful Lauren Alaina being the last two standing. Another infusion of country on TV's top talent competition series is fine by us!
