As previously reported, Shania Twain married Nestle executive Frederic Thiebaud on New Year’s Day. Now the rumor is not that she’s with child, but that she may be headlining in Vegas.

The talk surfaced as a result of previews of her reality show 'Why Not? With Shania Twain' on Oprah's new network, OWN, which debuted to more than one million viewers Jan. 1.

In the trailer for her program, Twain talks about what it took to resume her career, and the video clearly shows footage of her at Vegas venue the Colosseum at Caesars Palace and in her tour bus. Cher begins her final shows Jan. 11 and Celine Dion doesn’t start her new run until March 15, leaving a large hole to fill. Perez Hilton joined in the speculation and said, “This is exactly how rumors get started and, when not denied, become true eventually.”

Garth Brooks already has a spot at the Wynn Vegas and a contract, so that leaves Twain as one of the handful of country acts that could fill the Colosseum on a regular basis.  It’s a 4,082-seat venue that opened in 2003 and was originally built for Dion's show at a cost of $95 million. Other artists who have filled the Colosseum include Faith Hill, Stevie Nicks, Mariah Carey and Elton John.
