Sheryl Crow has partnered with Warner Music Nashville to release her debut country album and she gave fans a taste of her first country single 'Easy' from that forthcoming album on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' Thursday night (Jan. 24.)

Actor Matt Damon had commandeered the show from Kimmel, who was bound and gagged while Damon brought out A-list guest after A-list guest as part of the long-running gimmick between the two over who reigns supreme. Damon asked Crow, who also served as the band leader for the night, if she would be so kind as to debut a new song for him. She joked that she wouldn't normally do that, but since it was Damon who was asking, she would oblige. So Crow was in on the joke, as well.

It was the first taste of new material from the singer in two years. So, was it worth the wait? And more importantly, how did it stack up as a country track?

Well, it's a twangy, acoustic-guitar driven, semi-ballad that's not much different than Crow's more recent material, which has had a bit of a country bend to it. The song certainly "feels" country and Crow's storytelling ability fits the genre like the glove. It's a catchy track, too. Debuting it on late night TV certainly made us want to hear more.

In other Crow news, she is further cementing herself in the country genre with a performance at the much-anticipated annual Taste of Country show in Buffalo on June 14. Darius Rucker, Rodney Atkins, Jana Kramer and more will join her. Tickets are on sale Jan. 25.
