Scotty McCreery

Scotty McCreery won the hearts of ‘American Idol’ judges when he auditioned singing ‘Your Man’ by Josh Turner in Season 10. Fans quickly fell for the singer with the strong faith and no-frills, honest country sensibility. Prior to auditioning, he was a popular vocalist at church and choir groups in Garner, N.C. The youngest of two kids born to Mike and Judy McCreery, Scotty grew up with dreams of playing professional baseball. In high school, he was a pitcher known for his devastating curveball. Even after winning ‘Idol,’ he went back to school for his senior year and competed for the Trojans while promoting his debut album ‘Clear as Day.’ After graduating, he continued his education at N.C. State University.
