Brandy Clark

Brandy Clark has become one of the most highly-respected singer-songwriters in contemporary country music on the strength of her neo-traditional slant and impressive voice. Born in a Washington logging town of just 900 people, she made her way to Nashville in 1998 to attend Belmont, and steadily carved a career for herself as a unique voice, penning songs for Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, the Band Perry, Darius Rucker, Kacey Musgraves and more. She released her self-titled debut EP in 2012, following up with her debut album, '12 Stories,' in 2013. The album is one of the most critically acclaimed in recent years, with critics singling out her dark, observational humor for approval. The CMA winner is also a Grammy nominee.

Brandy Clark’s ‘Stripes’ is country music’s formal introduction to the woman behind many of the edgiest songs of the last two years. Those who like their country women to sound rooted in tradition and a little (OK, a lot) unpredictable will love this woman’s anthem.
