There's been no shortage of great songs in country music in 2016! The nominees for Song of the Year in the 2016 Taste of Country Fan Choice Awards include some of the strongest material to come out of Music City in years.

The long-awaited, much talked-about 2016 presidential election has arrived. Tuesday (Nov. 8) marks Election Day for those residing in the United States, which includes most country stars.

Cassadee Pope is having a stellar year. The singer celebrated her first No. 1 single with Chris Young earlier this year with "Think of You," and the duet partners are also nominated for Musical Event of the Year for the song in the 2016 CMA Awards.

Cassadee Pope spent her weekend performing as part of Martina McBride's Band Against Cancer Sarah Cannon Tour, and she took Taste of Country fans along for the ride.

Chris Young has amassed eight career No. 1 singles, with "Think of You" marking his eighth chart-topper and his sixth No. 1 as a songwriter, which he celebrated at a No. 1 party on Tuesday.

Cassadee Pope released the steamy music video for her single "Summer" earlier this year and it has the singer getting very cozy with a male actor in the clip. In an interview with her record label Big Machine Label Group, Pope says she originally envisioned the video to include her boyfriend Rian Dawson, who is a drummer for All Time Low.

Chris Young and Cassadee Pope are teaming up once again. The No. 1 hit duet partners of "Think of You" are the latest artists added to the nationwide ACM Lifting Lives club shows.

Cassadee Pope’s nostalgic love song “Summer” finds the singer a bit misty-eyed in remembering a one-time flame. It’s the phrasing during her chorus and throw-back references that allow this song to stand out, however.
