The mid-tempo mourner has hooked fans new and old to top four other new singles in the online vote and on Taste of Country Nights. Today, Campbell will need to get past a tag team of singers.

Chances are Colt Ford is walking around with a big ol' smile spread across his face today. The country rapper's fourth studio album, 'Declaration of Independence,' hit stores last week, and the numbers are in. Fans proved once again that they love them some Colt Ford -- the album debuted at No. 1 on the country album's chart.

On a Colt Ford record, pretty much anything goes. That was exactly the case during the making of the singer's fourth studio album, 'Declaration of Independence,' which hit shelves this week.

Today's Showdown is a battle between friends. Luke Bryan and Colt Ford will have to put their personal relationship aside to win the song battle that culminates each night on Taste of Country Nights radio. 'Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye' topped 'One More Sad Song' from Randy Rogers Band on Tuesday, making Bryan's newest single a three-time champion.

On previous albums, Colt Ford backed himself into a tight corner, insisting he's not rap while spitting rap-like messages of country life, love and fun. The singer admits that by aiming to please everyone, he left most feeling a few bites short of a full meal. This isn't a problem on 'Declaration of Independence.'

Colt Ford once had two professional loves: country music and golf. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to be successful at both, so the singer (whose real name is Jason Farris Brown) dropped his clubs for the pen and microphone. It's not clear how much professional golf he played -- one article says he appeared at only a single Nationwide Tour event --  but he did quite a bit of teaching.
