They say you can't really know somebody until you walk a mile in their shoes. But we have a pretty good idea about what kind of person Granger Smith is, even though we haven't laced up his combat boots. Last year, the Texas country star slipped on his military footwear and walked 100 miles in support of our troops. This year, he'll return to the pavement to do it all over again, this time with a little more experience under his belt.

Granger Smith has been swatting 'em out of the competition left and right with his latest single, a ballad dubbed 'Letters to London.' This week, Smith and his smooth vocals are up against Roger Creager's chart-climbing single 'Turn It Up,' and if he wins for a fourth week in a row, Smith and his tune will be retired in our Taste of Country Texas Red Dirt Rumble Hall of Fame.

Now, it's time for the band to put their money where their mouth is and take on a new challenger: fellow Lone Star songster Granger Smith.
