The 2015 CMT Artists of the Year Award show was a star-studded event in Nashville on Wednesday night (Dec. 2), during which country legends and country newcomers alike were honored at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
This week is a tough one for Little Big Town, as Jimi Westbrook's sister passed away from cancer on Sunday (Nov. 29). During Tuesday's CMT Artists of the Year Awards, bandmates Kimberly Schlapman and Phillip Sweet were in attendance to accept the award.
When Little Big Town aren't performing, Kimberly Schlapman keeps busy not only with her own cooking show, but also launching a new line of kitchen products exclusive to Cracker Barrel. Oh, and sometimes she works there.
This year's CMT Artists of the Year were revealed on the Today show — in the form of baby pictures. The five honorees of CMT's 2015 Artists of the Year were shown on screen in childhood photos as Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb tried to pair the baby photo with the correct artist.
