Scotty McCreery

Scotty McCreery won the hearts of 'American Idol' judges when he auditioned singing 'Your Man' by Josh Turner in Season 10. Fans quickly fell for the singer with the strong faith and no-frills, honest country sensibility. Prior to auditioning, he was a popular vocalist at church and choir groups in Garner, N.C. After winning 'Idol,' he went back to school for his senior year and competed for the Trojans while promoting his debut album, 'Clear as Day.' After graduating, he continued his education at N.C. State University. McCreery released a Christmas album, 'Christmas With Scotty McCreery,' in 2012, and dropped his second studio album of new songs, 'See You Tonight,' in October of 2013, debuting at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. Lasting radio success eluded him however until 2017 when "Five More Minutes" became the first of three straight No. 1 hits. Same Truck (2021) is his fourth studio album. He married longtime girlfriend Gabi Dugal in 2018.
