The Voice

Since its premiere in 2011, NBC’s hit reality singing competition ‘The Voice’ has become appointment viewing for fans of country music. Blake Shelton has been a coach on the show since the very first season, bringing a unique country focus and sharp sense of humor to the proceedings, and his efforts to find fresh country talent have paid off, with Shelton coaching Cassadee Pope to victory in season 3, and repeating with Danielle Bradbery the following year. Country stars including Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott, Reba McEntire, the Band Perry and even Taylor Swift have served as advisers to the contestants, and the show has discovered a number of other rising country stars, including Gwen Sebastian, RaeLynn, Jake Worthington and the Swon Brothers.
