Trisha Yearwood was the talk of the 2013 ACMs when she showed off her slimmer figure in a gorgeous red dress. The 48-year-old country singer, Food Network star and wife of the iconic Garth Brooks has built up a brand new, unshakable confidence through dropping those pesky pounds.
Trisha Yearwood, who stars in her own Food Network series 'Trisha's Southern Kitchen,' is quite a foodie -- obviously! When you work with food, especially delicious southern eats featuring a lot of fried, rich cuisine, you tend to taste test a lot of it... which can lead to a few extra unwanted pounds. Mrs. Garth Brooks has shed some excess weight, debuting a new, trimmer figure at the 2013 ACMs on Sunday (April 7).
Country couple Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are talented, successful, rich and beloved by the country community and the fans. And if we're talking about Trisha only, we can use the term a "good cook," too. They seem to do and have it all. But the twosome never forgets the less fortunate, as they traveled to Haiti to aid Habitat for Humanity missions.
"I always loved homemade biscuits and rolls," notes Trisha Yearwood when talking about her spoon rolls recipe, which she shared in a recent issue of People Country. "But I had the misconception that it's got to be way harder than just going to the store and buying them. It is a little more time consuming, but it's not an all-day thing."
"I got from a friend who is 95 years old," Trisha Yearwood tells People Country of her special cranberry bread recipe. "When you get a recipe from a southern lady that's been cooking for that many years, you know it's going to be awesome!"
"When I was a kid, my dad would get up early every Christmas and make biscuits," Trisha Yearwood reveals in the new issue of People Country, speaking of her Daddy's Biscuits recipe.
"In my family, it's more of an idea of just trying to get your kids to eat more vegetables, and it works," says singer, author and cook Trisha Yearwood of the family-favorite dish she calls Fancy Chili, which combines carrots, diced tomatoes, red bell peppers and other healthy ingredients.
"If you've never tasted a deviled egg, you're missing out," Trisha Yearwood tells People Country when revealing her His and Her Deviled Eggs recipe, which she came up with for herself and husband, Garth Brooks. "I can't remember a southern picnic or covered-dish supper I've ever attended where deviled eggs weren't present. It's just not done! Everybody makes their deviled eggs a little differently."
