Taste of Style: Stars Sport Romantic Reds, Pretty Pinks for Valentine’s Day

'Tis the season ... of love! It's February and love is in the air, which means country stars are slipping into various shades of romance.

Pink and red aren't just two of our favorite colors, they're also the perfect way to celebrate Valentine's Day (or Singles Awareness Day). Country stars pull off these colors effortlessly, and they are a great source of inspiration for the upcoming holiday!

From Kimberly Schlapman's fancy red gown to Jana Kramer's stunning pink dress, we are in love with the shades of love! Newcomer Kelsea Ballerini also makes the list this week for her very first time, as does one hot country hunk. Which of these artists would you want to be your Valentine?

Little Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman

Little Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman made hearts melt when she showed up to the 2013 CMT Music Awards in a fire engine-red dress. The tight, shiny red number emanates romance, from its sweetheart neckline to its lengthier back. Her bright blond hair paired nicely with the romantic dress, and she accentuated her neckline with dangly gold earrings by Kara Ross Fine Jewelry. The gold clutch and black shoes tied together the style nicely. If your honey is taking you somewhere fancy this Valentine's Day, maybe a little red dress is just what you need.

Jana Kramer

Jana Kramer knows love. After all, it's the title of one of her hits! The singer is a country fashion icon, but pink isn't a color she regularly sports. However, at the 2014 CMA Awards though, she stepped outside her typical color palette, and the result was breathtaking. The pink MT by Michael Costello gown suited Kramer's skin tone perfectly. Since Kramer has an edgier personality, her stylist, Lo VonRumpf, gave the outfit that feel with jewelry and makeup.

"Jana's style is more of an edgy, rock 'n' roll vibe, but I always want to keep it classic and glamorous at the same time," he tells Taste of Country. "Jana doesn't wear pink very often, but this gown fit amazingly well, looked amazing and it was definitely a special and memorable moment on the carpet."

Luke Bryan

Luke Bryan may be what every woman wants for Valentine's Day , but we'll have to settle for checkin' him out in that red shirt, instead. During the Stagecoach Festival, the country singer was super sexy in a tight red tee while onstage. At first glance, it looks like just an ordinary T-shirt, but it actually has the lyrics to Bryan's "Faded Away" scrawled across the front. He paired the V-neck with tight jeans, of course, and leather bracelets. Attention all men: getting your Valentine something LB related is completely acceptable.

Taylor Swift

This combination of pale pink and red has us ready for romancin'! Taylor Swift oozed sophistication and class while attending 'The Giver' premiere. Although the former country star only had a supporting role in the film, she was the star of the red carpet. Her gown was a red and pale pink dress from the Monique Lhuillier Resort 2015 collection, and her pale pumps by Casadei were the gown's solemate. Even if you're celebrating Singles Awareness Day this year, you'll have adoring eyes only on you in a romantic look like this. Swoon! (Don't worry, it can be done cheaper.)

Dolly Parton

This Valentine's Day, channel your inner country goddess with a look like Dolly Parton's. When she stopped by Today, she went for a sophisticated look, keeping her usual country sass low-key while still staying true to herself. Parton was chic in a long-sleeved fitted red dress with square accents, pairing the look with gold heels and jewelry — the perfect match! As for her famous blond hair, it was big and beautiful during the appearance! Will you be our Valentine, Dolly?

Kelsea Ballerini

Country newcomer Kelsea Ballerini is the epitome of love in her LRD (little red dress). She showed up to the ASCAP Country Music Awards in a flirty red number with a strapless sweetheart neckline. The tight bodice had us falling in love, and the LRD was embroidered with floral accents along the bodice and flowing skirt. Ballerini kept the focus on the dress, only pairing it with simple earrings. She let her natural beauty shine through while walking the carpet, sporting just a pale lipgloss and shimmery eye makeup. With a look this fabulous, Ballerini will have all the guys lovin' her like they mean it.

This Week's Fashion Diva: Kacey Musgraves!

Has there ever been a vision more lovely than Kacey Musgraves at the 25th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York? We think not. She not only exuded femininity and love, but the edgy singer also kept her look a little on the country side. The pink lady represented country music at the event, performing 'Follow Your Arrow' in this sleeveless, hot pink Azarro dress full of fringe! It was a definite nod to old country, which Musgraves loves. This is a singer who never strays from color, so of course she added a romantic red Edie Parker clutch to her look.
