Taylor Swift's best friend, Abigail Anderson, called upon her famous pal the other day as she is trying to raise funds for her school's diving and swim team.

Anderson, who attends the University of Kansas, asked Swift if she would autograph a Jayhawks basketball jersey to benefit the team. Not to let her friend down, the 'Mean' singer gave her a hearty "yes."

The white No. 1 jersey has the name 'Swift' embellished on the back in the school's colors, cobalt blue and red.

Bidding started at $200 but quickly increased to the final bid of $1,005. Every cent went to the school's water sports squad, of which Swift's friend is a member.

After a short break, Swift's Speak Now World Tour picked up again last week Oslo. The European leg continues with stops in Italy, France, Spain and the U.K.

Her next U.S. tour dates are May 27 and 28 in Omaha, Neb.

Swift recently released the song 'Mean' as the latest single from her album 'Speak Now.'
