Taylor Swift Wins Billboard 200 Album Artist of the Year Award

To the surprise of absolutely nobody who can count, Taylor Swift won the 'Billboard 200 Album Artist of the Year' award tonight at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards. Also not surprising: she looked really nice and smiled a lot while accepting the trophy.

Considering that 'Speak Now' has sold over three million copies, including over one million in the first week, and that this award is based strictly on sales, it's doubtful any of the other nominees prepped speeches. The amazingly composed 21-year old Swift kindly thanked her record label for all their hard work.

She saved her kindest thoughts for her millions of fans, though, declaring, "You've just given me another reason to be completely in love with you." Gosh, we hope that doesn't give some lonely stalker the wrong idea.
