Perhaps someone realized two of country music’s biggest female stars might not take the ACM stage at all on Sunday night. Perhaps this was the plan all along. Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift aren’t scheduled to perform, but both have just been announced as presenters for the 2014 ACM Awards.

In addition, George Strait and ‘Whatever She’s Got’ singer David Nail will present an award during the CBS broadcast. Strait is scheduled to perform, and he — as well as Swift — are up for the night’s big prize, Entertainer of the Year.

Previously announced performers include the two co-hosts Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Lee Brice and more. Strait will perform with Miranda Lambert to honor Merle Haggard. Pop star Shakira will join Shelton to sing their song ‘Medicine.’

The 2014 ACM Awards begin at 8PM ET.
